eFiling not Mandatory in Domestic Violence Cases in Cook County

In accordance with an order issued by Presiding Judge Sebastian T. Patti, eFiling is not mandatory in domestic violence courthouses in Cook County, IL. This order stems from computer outages affecting the clerk’s ability to process eFiled paperwork in late July and early August. Computer outages or electronic issues may delay emergency cases that must be filed.

This order may not be permanent as the system is working to overcome unforeseen issues and reduce computer outages.
